Yes! Electrolysis is safe and effective for all skin tones, all hair colors, and all genders. Unlike laser hair removal—which can be less effective on light, gray, or red hair—electrolysis works on every hair color and skin type, making it a truly inclusive option for permanent hair removal.
-
Electrolysis requires the same hair to be treated multiple times before it’s permanently destroyed. In the beginning, you can expect to come in weekly or bi-weekly to stay consistent. As treatment progresses, you’ll notice less regrowth—and appointments will gradually become less frequent and shorter in duration.
-
Most clients describe the sensation as a quick, mild sting or heat. Discomfort varies depending on the area treated and your individual sensitivity. You can take a mild pain reliever beforehand if needed.
-
If you are new to electrolysis, a free 15-minute consultation is required. We'll discuss your hair removal goals, assess the area, and create a personalized treatment plan. An optional 15-minute treatment is available at the standard rate.
-
Absolutely. Electrolysis is often recommended for clients with PCOS because it targets each hair follicle directly, regardless of hair color or thickness. Since PCOS can cause persistent hair growth, regular treatments may be needed over time, but results are permanent for treated follicles.

You can shave, but please avoid shaving for at least 2–3 days before your appointment so the hair is long enough to be treated.
Avoid tweezing, waxing, or threading for at least 3–4 weeks before your session—these methods remove the root, which is needed for effective electrolysis. -
Yes, electrolysis is safe for teens and is often recommended for treating unwanted facial or body hair caused by hormonal changes during puberty. I take a gentle, age-appropriate approach and always recommend a consultation first to discuss goals and ensure it’s the right fit. Parental consent is required for anyone under 18. Parent or legal guardian must be present during treatment.
